FAQ - Frequently asked questions
When will my invoice be paid?
Payments to suppliers are made in accordance with the general terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services to the Government of Aruba. In general, payment is made 90 days from the invoice date, provided that the government department concerned has submitted all documents with the required approvals to the Department of Finance.
For information about the purchase terms and conditions, please refer here.
Why was my invoice not paid in full (partially)?
If the records of the Tax Department show that a supplier has outstanding and overdue tax claims to the Government of Aruba, the Department of Finance - at the request of the Tax Department - will transfer the amounts owed to the supplier, up to the amount of the claim, to the Tax Department in accordance with Article 10 of the Invorderingsverordening (which is the ordinance for tax collection). Under this article, the Department of Finance is also authorized to make this payment to the Tax Department on its own initiative. It should be noted that the Department of Finance does not have access to the Tax Department’s records and therefore cannot provide information about your tax claims.
