Leergang Openbare Financiën Aruba
This course is given in Dutch. Leergang Openbare Financiën Aruba (LOFA) falls under the training policy of the Minister of Finance and can be regarded as continuous financial education for civil servants. The overall learning objective of LOFA is to improve and optimize financial administrative processes in order to meet the ever-changing requirements of the environment. LOFA consists of a basic module and four advanced modules (Legal Framework, Policy Process, Budget Cycle, and Operations).
Compronde Comptabilidad di Pais Aruba
This course is given in Papiamento on the platform of Land Aruba Academy (LAA), which is managed by the Department of Human Resources (DRH). In this course you will be introduced to the concept of public finance and understand why accounting is important. You will go through the budgetary process, i.e. budget preparation, budget execution and the annual accounts. You will also learn about the most important regulations of the Comptabiliteitsverordening 1989 (CV 1989). This course is for civil servants who are not in a financial function and are interested in (the laws of) accounting, and new government employees.
